Kermalene Ellsworth, PTA
Kermalene was born and raised in Johnsburg, IL. While attending Johnsburg High School, she became a Student Athletic Trainer and Certified Nursing Assistant. Among the many courses and seminars that she has attended since high school, the most fulfilling experience was being nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine at Loyola University. The wide spectrum of patients that she saw there and a tragic family accident that caused a cousin to be a quadrapalegic gave her the inspiration to work in the Physical Therapy field. While in the Physical Therapy Assisting Program at Elgin Community College, she completed internships at numerous outpatient and inpatient clinics, sports medicine clinics, nursing homes and hospitals. Kermalene believes that the more you know, the more you grow as a therapist and that is why she continues to educate herself through seminars each year. She also believes that each person can maximize their healing power with a healthy lifestyle and with the knowledge they need to be successful in achieving their therapy goals and to continue with the lifestyle changes after Physical Therapy is finished.
